Learning to love trainers with Superga
Throughout most of my 'youth' (yes I am aware I'm probably not *that* young any more), wearing trainers was an absolute no-no for me. I've climbed mountains in ballet pumps and done assault courses in ankle boots - no joke. But as the years have passed and as trainers got a bit less garish, I've been known to pick up a pair of crisp whites or low-top basketball sneaks...
And since I moved back home for a few months to kick-start this site, I've been spending a lot more time outdoors - funnily enough it's a bit nicer to go for a stroll along the canal in the middle of the countryside than it is along the canal in drizzly Camden - so a decent pair of trainers have been necessary to keep my only co-worker (and Dalmatian) Poppy on top form.
So cheers to Superga for providing me with my latest footwear love. The Lendl, named after tennis legend Ivan (who I was lucky enough to meet at the brand's recent dinner party at Petersham Nurseries - he is v.nice FYI), is a sharp white, minimalist sneaker that features a soft, round toe and a chunky sole, finished with a suede back. They are lovely, I've worn them constantly, and most of all, they make a refreshing change from everyone else's white trainers - even Poppy approves.
The Superga Lendl trainer is available at Superga.co.uk, £75
